Insider tips from Amazon's MBA recruiter

In an interview, Amazon’s MBA recruiter Dee Clarke has given away what MBA applicants can do to shine the light onto their achievements and stand out from the crowd. Here are the highlights.

More than 1,000 MBAs find a new job at Amazon every year. At many business schools, the e-commerce giant is is one of the largest employers. In Europe for example, Amazon recruits from schools like HEC Paris, Insead, Iese or the London Business School.

In an interview with website BusinessBecause Dee Clarke, head of European campus recruitment for Amazon, explained how applicants can make a lasting impression during the interview.

According to Clarke, these are the top features that Amazon is looking for:

·         thinking big and delivering results

·         strong problem solvers and analytical thinkers.

·         embodying Amazon's 14 Leadership Principles

·         entrepreneurial spirit

·         naturally curious and actively seeking new opportunities to develop and grow

·         thinking and acting quickly

“We want to see they care about building their network and gaining a greater diversity of thought. We’re keen to hire people who are interested in the whole business, not just their remit, and offer value across the board.” (Dee Clarke)
