Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is one law firm that aims to equip lawyers with more knowledge of finance and accounting at the beginning of their careers.

Lawyers study the basics of income statements, balance sheets and cash flows, get a crash course in corporate valuation and learn the fundamentals of mergers and acquisitions, many topics that overlap with the content that is taught during the first year at business school.
